Would This Qualify As A Slump?

Because I have to say, it sort of feels like one. I haven't done any projects lately.
My husband did bring this home. Something fun could be done with it, I'm sure.
See? Fun!
I really like the stenciled words.
Or I could make one of these
this spool bookcase is kind of awesome, too. I'm hoping that something will spark and I'll get off my caboose and get something done.
So what have I been doing with my time?
Making jewelry.(At night. Hence the crappy photos.)I made the turquoise bracelets from a necklace I never wore. So, they were free. And since all the beads at Michael's are 40% off right now,
the black/grayish stuff cost about $10 to make. I haven't made a lot of jewelry before, and I find it oddly addictive. And it's easy to justify. I mean, why not wear 4 bracelets at once?
(kidding! Sort of)

Thanks for reading!

I'm in a slump now but I just using this time to concentrate on my children and creativity will eventually happen. I am one of those people who need a creative outlet but if I try to force it I get a headache. Loove your spool you can make some amazing things with it. Can't wait to see what you do.

I have a few spools waiting for a purpose too...so many fun ideas!! I've started making some little ornaments...that's "putzy"...but addicting too :)

Suzanne slumps happen! And then a lightbulb will go off and you're on your way. My vote for the giant spool - side table but maybe wrap the middle with something other than rope, something industrial? Good luck, you'll be back at it in no time.

You have probably explained how there are so many jewelry vendors at the shows these days. They have to support their addiction! So we made some little flower pins and had the same thing happen to us. Who knew you could do so many things with that piece that your husband brought home. I'd say he is really thoughtful.

Great ideas! I'd probably just clean it up, maybe stain it and use as a side table. I'm sure you'll do something creative with it. Love the idea of a unbrella table for clair.

LOL- Love your bracelets- everyone needs at least 4 per arm!

Cool old wire spool. It will be fun to see what you do with it.

If you get a chance pop by and see SweetCheeks on the cover of our local magazine. xo Diana

I have a giant spool on my back patio, that is being used as a sofa table, but I keep looking at it and thinking that if I cut off a bit of the rounded top and bottom, turned it on it's side, and added a board with some trim on the sides, it would make a great garden seat.

I just don't have the ambition to tackle that project.

Great jewelry!

I'd wear lots of those bracelets at once. They are all small and they look great mixed and matched.

Let's try this again, sign in issues!
I love those bracelets and wearing a couple together is up my alley!
Also, you should make that spool bookshelf!
