Open Until 6

Do you have a row of matching baskets tastefully lined up above your kitchen cabinets?

Or maybe that's where you display your carefully chosen collection of ironstone platters?

 Well.
I don't have a row of matching baskets or a display of ironstone platters above my cabinets.
I have a lot of stuff above my cabinets.
I could probably stand to edit some of it. But I like all of it, so I've kept it all up there.

I had some gaps, though, and I wanted
something to fill in some space above my kitchen cabinets.
So I made another sign.
Only this time, I grunged it up a little.
I took a really cheap brush and used it to brush on some watered down paint. I went across the sign just once. I like how it softens the letters. I placed the letters closer to the top of the sign so that they'd be more visible from way up there.
I also used some brown glaze around the edges and some of the letters.
I have some more work to do up here, but I like the sign.

Thanks for reading, and thank you everyone who voted for me.

I love it!!! I need to get some new hardware for my cabinets. I have white cabinets to and they came with the cheapest most boring hardware ever!

Very cute. I have a little sign on my fridge that my boys got me that says, "Marie's All Night Diner- Clean up your own mess!" Now, you know that's not gonna work...you're safer with closing at 6 :)

Way cute. I just redid the tops of my cabinets after eight years! See old post. But, I did put back about half the stuff, just re-arranged and whites added.

Really cute sign -- I love it. Good idea lifting the lettering up so it can be seen. I wouldn't have thought of it until it was too late!

Cute sign! Did you win? Huh? Did you-or don't you know yet? I loved the pictures though of all the nice baskets lined up ever so neatly...not gonna happen at my house, I'm afraid. Diana
